God help us all. One of my daughters appears to be heading there in the fall after appeals to get her to Iowa State instead.
This is the type of climate she will encounter in Iowa City I fear.

I was actually shocked to hear there is a college Republican group in Iowa City.

I would assume such a group would be labeled as a terrorist group at the UofI.

Not only is there a College Republican group in Iowa City, but a courageous one at that. Here is the description of their event that so offended the esteemed professor:

I went to CU-Boulder and have a poly sci degree. I was there during the real stuff-— 2000-2004, Bush v Gore, 9/11, Iraq,...All in a poly sci department.

You’d think it was hell, truth is, we had plenty of level-headed, even conservative professors to choose to take our classes from. I think I only had one liberal professor , and he didn’t really push it. I wrote conservative stuff and he gave me A’s.

We see extreme cases all the time from these schools. My own especially. However, we need to watch to super generalize the view points available overall all.

Do we need more conservative profs? Yes-... are all the super liberal schools liberal only- not really.
