CHICAGO Chicago police are joining anti-gun violence groups in voicing concerns about a bill that would allow Illinois residents to get permits to carry concealed firearms.
Assistant police superintendent Jimmy Jackson says he's concerned about gaps in the mental health screening system for would-be gun owners. He spoke at a Chicago news conference held by the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence and the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.

Screw the Chicago cops.
It’s definitely the higher ups. Street cops would love the help from citizens. They just want to lie in their bed instead of a pine box by the end of their shift.
That has been the story, here in MN. I know a lot of LEOs. We hang out, shoot together at the local.
The paranoia comes from those that don’t walk a beat.
The politicians are just that. They’re looking ahead to their next election for Sheriff.
