Some "terrorist" acts are nothing of the kind. Bombing occupation headquarters after calling and warning people to get out is not the same as most of what we consider terrorism today.

We made an effort not to, but of course we did. The joint American British operations to create firestorms in Hamburg and Dresden were just evil. And, we did this all by ourselves to Japan. People get caught up on the atom bombs, when more Japanese died in the firebombings.
War is ugly.
