Trump slams Rove! Carl Rove called Trump's candidacy a "joke" among many other disparaging remarks about him. But Trump, in his inimitable way, gave it right back. Who really is Rove? He's the "architect" who encouraged George Bush to spend like a liberal Democrat and pursue his amnesty for illegal aliens agenda to pander to the Hispanic vote. He caustically stated that Palin was too much a lightweight for national office. His counsel made Bush so unpopular that he alienated not only the conservative GOP base but the Independents, thus helping Obama win the presidency. Fox has Rove as a commentator and treats his words as though he were the Oracle of Delphi. He's just a RINO hack who's really an Obama-lite.

That’s the media spin and they may be right. But not necessarily. No other potential GOP candidate even comes close to Trump in the prelininary polls. Whatever happens, this should be a warning to the GOP: nobody in the present crowd is really exciting anybody!

Absolutely! In the primaries I was a Tancredo supporter and Rove, who never saw an illegal alien he didn’t want to suck up to for a vote, was shameless in his treatment of Tancredo. No, he didn’t have to share his political views. That’s fine. BUT to treat another legitimate GOP candidate like that - NO CLASS!

What a great line. There’s been talk of Trump helping Palin. Making Rove a non-issue would help her immensely.
He certainly has his warts but I find myself totally loving his ‘candidacy’ thus far. He has some serious stones.
Actually, it was Jimmy Breslan. Breslan did have a co-candidate and it may have been Mailer who ran with him but Jimmy came up with the slogan.
I love his candidacy too. Look, we all know he’s changed some of his previous views, but so what? Not only do all politicians do that but so do most of us ordinary folks who mature and learn from our experiences. Who among us with half a brain hasn’t changed our opinion about some things in five, ten or twenty years?
In 1969 he ran for the mayor of New York City with the campaign slogan, "No more bullshit."

Rove did advice the GOP Congress to spend like Democrats in order to keep the House.
Righto. And he grew the Hell pout of government.
Rove talked about Obama trash talking Republicans. I remember Rove trash talking a very nice Republican.
Trump has a winning strategy so far. By bringing up the birth certificate, he is certainly generating a lot of attention. As gas goes higher, and the economy gets even worse, Trump gets first shot at ripping Obama while he is the center of attention. He is at least talking about issues that Republicans, and non Republicans are concerned about.
The willingness to fight the media is the first requirement for a candidate who wants to fight for the future of America. Rove can simply be ignored.
Timing is everything ....
