Actually Hillary tries to lower her vocal range when she intensifies and puts more emotion into her voice. It makes her sound phoney and mean. She would do better to speak naturally as Palin does.

What this thread was supposed to be about was the O4P volunteer who is making a difference in Iowa. This is just one guy working on his own to help the cause. As with the TEA Party, O4P is grassroots and depends on the ingenuity of its volunteers to put together support for Gov. Palin’s candidacy. In a caucus state like Iowa, gathering names of people who will support Sarah and assuring they attend the caucuses is what will win the day.

In primary states, we need to expand support by networking. Your ten contacts who will support Sarah each contacting ten others will quickly grow our numbers. It’s important that we get active by signing up at organize4palin.com and start doing something or else we will be stuck with a candidate who will either do nothing to change the path we are on or who will not be effective in getting things done.

Maybe all of us can’t afford to travel to Iowa or to devote our life to political activity as Peter Singleton has, but all of us can do something. If all of us exert even a modest effort, we can make a difference. If we don’t, a second Obama term may result and then we will be left with the knowledge that we didn’t have the time or gumption to save our country.

Email both editor@organize4palin.com and newjersey@organize4palin.com to check if it has a state coordinator.

If not, and you or someone you know is willing to do so, contact editor@organize4palin.com with some information about yourself to volunteer to serve in this capacity.

I’d put up both Bachmann and Pence in the mix as well as great VP choices but Pence looks like he’s going for Gov first?

i can’t go back to the daily kos because i’ve never been there.

Plenty of conservatives have offered constructive criticism in this matter. as I said in my first post on this tread - I would vote for her no matter what but I know people who are put off by the voice - and they aren’t liberals at all.

The crowd in Madison strongly differs with you.

Someone who was at the Madison rally said that she had to yell to be heard over the filthy communists and hippies who showed up to drown her out.

That said, I understand what you mean about her voice. I don’t think it’s her voice per se, that is annoying but her delivery style in which she raises her voice and talks fast — to sound enthusiastic, I suppose.

I can get past that because I really think she is exactly the president our country needs right now. But there are people who will be put off by the voice and not listen to the message. I hope she gets handlers who work on it with her.

Please, give it up, look @ my tagline. Ya think? I watched the Madison event on-line, she rocked it. But look at my post were I will give note that this maybe an outdoor issue vs when she speaks indoors. Look, I have been on her bandwagon since she was elected Governor and told everyone for almost 2 years watch this firecracker from Alaska even before she was nominated for VP and even predicted that McCain did not have a chance if he didn’t pick her, yes I have the email. I will volunteer my butt off for her, but I am not afraid to mention that this voice issue is real. Read the rest of the post, post our initial retorts. I am not the only one thinking of it and yes many feel like you do as well. So I guess we will have to disagree.

Unless someon is an obvious concern troll, I am not going to bristle every time someone voices a valid complaint about Sarah, the greatest living politician.

Yes, Lincoln’s voice was apparently nothing to brag about. He was also not much to look at.

These are different times. We live in an image-conscious, superficial age where a politician’s every twitch, mumble, and idiotic mistake can be caught on camera and played over and over. (Unless, of course, he is Benito Obama, president of the 57 United States.)

Today, in D.C., comb-over central, politicians carefully tend to their looks and have staff to handle their press releases.

In Lincoln’s time, voters paid more attention to what a politician said than to how he said it or what he looked like. It was not unusual for a speech to go on for over an hour while people stood — stood! — and took it in and actually digested it.

A flub like Michelle Bachmann’s could not be played back to the entire country hundreds of times, and, in those days, a great one-liner could be used over and over again. Now, if a conservative uses the same line more than once, cable news will make it appear that that is all he ever utters.

Anyway, my point is that, yes, this is an area where Palin needs improvement. Lord knows, I can’t think of much about her that isn’t perfect. :)

Women, I think, are at a disadvantage in the voice department on TV, to begin with. I am a woman, and I do not think my voice is very pleasant; I cringe whenever I hear it played back. Often, while we are watching cable news, I find myself turning down the volume when certain women speak. It seems that some of them feel the need to raise their voices.

Sorry this is so long.

You are exactly right. Obummer was packaged by the MSM for his coronation, so they showed him in a perfect light every chance they got. And they continue to do so.

Our candidate — whom I hope and pray will be Palin — will be endlessly presented in the most unflattering ways possible. While it’s almost impossible to take an unflattering shot of that beautiful woman, they will use any annoying speaking sound bites over and over to turn off those voters who are influenced by the superficial.

I’m not questioning your loyalty; only your willingness to be led down a dead end rabbit trail.

Her voice is not an issue to anyone to anyone who is listening to the content of her speech. This point was confirmed by the postor to whose comment you had directed me. To the rest, their vote is not their own to give anyway; they’ve been turned into pod voters from the planet Statist.
