It is crapola...all of these supposed in-house “voice training” professionals just want to change her from what she is-—a middle class mom who talks like other middle class moms. And most of us don’t mind it one bit. So, these voice critics need to get down from off their high horse and stop being so superficial.

I never bought into this thing that Obama is a great speaker/politician! I also never bought into the same talk that Clinton was this masterful politician crap either.

I think it just comes down to the fact that if something is repeated enough...

I thought it was Barry`s ears that they liked

Well, somebody needs to sit her down and tell her stop supporting John McCain.

She just supported John McCain meeting with Al Queada in Libya.

There wasn't broadcast media back in Lincoln's day.

No, but there sure were a lot of people who heard him speak during his campaigns and as President. They didn't care that he had a high, squeaky voice and a hick frontier accent.

I guess it depends on what ppl mean by “voice training”.

Change her accent and style? Hell no! They are just trying to change who she is, and they care only about superficial appearances.

I do think some coaching would be helpful on the campaign trail as a pragmatic matter to prevent her from getting hoarse and losing her voice. Good coaches, never make you lose your sense of self. They just amplify what you already have, in a healthy natural way.

There was one point during the 2010 elections where she gave a stump speech that made me think she was about to lose her voice from all her rallies/speaking engagements.

I think zero is a good teleprompter reader, usually. The first time I saw him speak I realized he was very dangerous and now the man makes me want to vomit - I can’t watch him at all.

If somebody is not going to vote for somebody when our country is teetering on brink because of their voice, then that voter was and is never serious in the first place and is superficial at best like Obama voters are a waste of time to reason with them

True. I personally find Palin's voice easy to listen too. I've heard much worse, and I really don't think we want her sounding like Edward R. Murrow. But even the best radio personalities have some special things they do to preserve their voice, shift the stress from the vocal cords to the diaphragm, that sort of thing. That's all good. She needs all the means of endurance she can muster. She has quite a fight on her hands, and it must be fought mainly with words on the battlefield of ideas. Anything that will make her stronger, I am for.

As for presidential timbre, she's already got it in abundance, and it stands in strong contrast to the unbearably slick droning of the TOTUS. I am very much looking forward to listening to presidential addresses that come from the heart of someone who loves this country, and it's ideals, as much as I do.

What a stupid, self-important comment!

How about Truman’s voice, JFK’s foolish sounding Boston accent, or Jimmah Cahtuh’s country doofuss accent?

Or do you prefer Obummer’s schoolyard bully vernacular?

Its easy to see Palin’s stature when that’s all they can find to gripe about.

She likes Trump.

She said she knows a lot of people who voted for Obama and none of them would vote for him again. However, she voted for McCain.

The GOP really needs to bar rats from the GOP primaries or we’ll just get another dud for a candidate and be lucky to still have a country when zero is done with us.

Now that is crappola!

Obummer’s speech is very annoying to an intelligent listener, but the media covered every O flaw, and failed to report a single fact about him. That is what got him into the Offal Orifice.

Oh I heard from a ton of people who were thrilled by his every word! The greatest orator...and on and on ad nauseum. They were anticipating his inauguration speech for the latest and greatest "catch phrases" - which actually didn't come.

If he sounded more black he'd never have made it.

I said the same thing on one of the speech threads and spent the rest of the day defending myself. I adore Palin but that is a significant flaw in her presentation.

"Well, maybe it is crapola but what I’m saying is people feel this way and it will affect votes, unfortunately."

Is it just me or is this "voice problem" only during rallies and such, she seems to come off better in debates and the VP acceptance speech was excellent.

People were complaining about her voice during the Wisconsin rally. Of course they forgot that she had thugs in the crowd making as much noise as possible. It’s a non-issue, but since nothing else has stuck it’s all they have.

Oh please get over yourself why don't you ! I have this conversation with a number of local conservative friends as well and the question becomes it is her message or the voice. The shrill voice Hillary has when she gets aggitated has been a source of conservative punditry comedy, it could cut our way, fix it now.

Maybe, when she tries to project her voice it may loose it's quality, I get that feedback as well. these outdoor arena's in the wind maybe having her want to shout when in fact the mic might do the job just as well.
