I received a canned email from McDonalds after this:
McDonalds also has a SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY page and pats themselves on the back for their VALUES IN ACTION.
If you click on Values in Action from this link: http://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en/contact_us/social_responsibility/social_responsibility.html , you can send them an email.
I just let them know that I will be joining what is sure to be a boycott of McDonalds. I demanded that they fire the black employees who did nothing to defend the victim.
Based on numerous incidents of black on white violence and being one of Americas largest corporations, I also asked them to please start sensitivity training for all of their black employees and to lead a nationwide campaign to end the blatant racism BY BLACKS currently being ignored by government, the press, and corporate America.
What did the canned email say?
I used the same “social responsibility” page to email them earlier. I don’t expect much. But, then again, they shouldn’t expect much from me. I’m done with them after watching that. I don’t think there’s anything they can do to get me back in one of their “fine establishments”.
Sent this:
There have been several instances where there has been violence in your stores and videos show employees just standing around, cheering or even helping those committing the crime by asking them to leave before the police get there. I understand the legal and insurance liability of employees ‘getting involved’ but what we’ve seen in recent videos they were not just avoiding attempting to stop the violence, but encouraging it. No one said ‘call the police’, no one yelled ‘stop’.
Is this the kind of environment I should expect to face when entering a McDonald’s? Has McDonald’s become no longer a family-friendly environment but a place that isn’t safe to bring one’s family?
Will McDonald’s take a public stand against these actions or just add it to another ‘training opportunity’ with a few symbolic notes?
I am looking forward to your public reaction.
All the more reason not to go to McDonalds..
