BENGHAZI, Libya (AP) -- U.S. Sen. John McCain called for increased military support Friday for Libya's rebels, including providing weapons, training and giving close air support to the opposition in the battle to oust Moammar Gadhafi.
McCain, the top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said at a news conference in the rebels' stronghold of Benghazi in eastern Libya that he did not believe U.S. ground troops are in order.

Yeah, um, NO! How does no work for you Senator????
Once again, McLame reminds all of us just what a lousy choice he was in 2008. He just cannot help himself. He is a moron!
Hey McLame! You’ve allowed this country to engage in combat, without being attacked—where’s your Congressional approval?? Why aren’t you in the US forming the impeachment committee??
Call the folks with the pretty white jackets. McCain needs to be taken away quick!
What the heck?
I thought we were limited to enforcing a no fly zone,AND, that everything we were doing was in concert with other countries and UN resolutions.
I thought we were specifically not taking sides in the conflict. I thought we wanted to prevent a bloodbath of civilians, and work towards a cease fire.
Aren’t many of these rebels are allied with Al Qaeda and Bin Laden?
Do we know what we are getting into in Libya? While Gadafi is a tyrant, do we really want an Al Qaeda state in Libya instead???????
Yeah sure! This man if freaking crazy!!! I do believe he is a war monger!
Hey John, Benghazi is the region of Libya that sent more fighters to Iraq to kill our troops than any other muslim country per capita! And now you want to help them????
Y’know, you would think that a guy who spent years in the Hanoi Hilton would understand that we can’t go committing our young men and women into every backyard scuffle that breaks out all over the world. If anybody should understand the perils of half-assing military intervention, it should be an ex-POW like McQueeg.
This is taking too long, this one-country-at-a-time thing.
We should attack every country in the world and embroil ourselves in a prolonged low-intensity guerrilla non-war for 10 years in every location on the globe.
We do NOT need to be involved in this. Get out of Libya NOW!!!!
“...McCain called for increased military support Friday for Libya’s rebels...”
I must have missed the because part.
What will the Black Congressional Caucus do when they find out the ‘Rebels’ are savagely murdering Black Africans?
Let Islamic countries manage their own revolutions. That way we won’t be giving military support to the same people we recently called al-Qaeda. Send McCain over to help the “rebels.”
Gen. McCain never met an Islamic Terrorist he couldn’t give more weapons and ammo to.
They will ignore it, just like Haiti and every other hell hole. They don’t identify with African blacks. There’s no power there.

Because Wolfowitz said so.
John opens mouth, Wolfowitz speaks.
We are only four months of the six year term of a man who is making sages of those who predicted exactly what we would get if he was re-elected.
We tried to tell the people of Arizona. Now the whole nation is stuck with the son of a bitch. Hell, the whole world is.
