No, that’s where The Donald is missing the fine point. The two derivative words from ‘certify.’ A certificate of live birth is fine. It contains all the vital information. It IS a birth certificate. A certification of live birth is a minimal extract of a certificate.

What he should have said is “... that would require a birth certificate, not a certification of live birth ...”

My BC (from 1950):

I have a hospital birth certificate dated and signed by nurse superintendent ...a Dr with a seal (looks decorative to me ) It has my footprints....I assume this has no legal weight.....or does it?
