Trump To Megan McCain And Her Dad: I Like You
Newsmax ^ | 04/22/2011 | Dan Weil

Real estate mogul/reality TV star Donald Trump, who is considering a bid for the Republican presidential nomination, has fond feelings for the 2008 nominee, Sen. John McCain of Arizona. The Donald makes that clear in an interview with McCain’s daughter Meghan for The Daily Beast.

Meghan McCain “I like you and I like your father, I’ll tell you. And I like your mother. I like your whole family. Hey, look, I supported your family, right?” Trump says.

“To be honest with you, Bush made it so bad that Abraham Lincoln couldn’t have beaten Obama. The world was crashing! If you remember six months before, your father was way up.”

Despite Trump’s strength in polls, including a Newsmax tally, Trump says those surveys understate his support.

“One of the pollsters actually said to me that my numbers would be better — and I’m leading in just about every poll — if people thought I was going to run, because a lot of people don’t think I’m going to run.”

Sorry for the late response, I was out tilling the garden. Getting ready for Obama’s grocery costs going up.

I’m not just telling you what you want to hear. It is a simple fact that the more I see on Trump the more I dislike.

I came across this an hour ago;

http://www.salon.com/technology/how_the_world_works/2011/04/20/donald_trump_the_president_we_deserve/index.html

Read the whole thing, it points out all the many things that few people know about Trump’s character. This is not good and I might post this to start and awareness campain on this forum. It’s obvious few here know these facts, or they would not be so positive towards him.

I agree, there is much that few people know about Trump here. He has done some cut throat and terrible things to get to the top and stay there.

I'm with you on that...though the concept of a President who wears an animal on his head has a certain amount of appeal to some...:)

From the Salon article:

>>>>> But this is not a rational country, and we sure do love our reality TV. And the more one is forced to confront the reality of Donald Trump's life, the more one comes to a grudging, horrified, sickly fascinated realization that he may be the single man most suited for confronting the intractable problems the United States faces today.

I was looking for the humor tag. I think Andrew Leonard's real name is, Alfred E. Neuman. This is why I keep saying conservatives should not be lending credence to Trump's possible run for potus. Just stick to facts of his public record. Our current pop culture is bleeding into our politics far too much. Lets STOP giving TheDonald legitimacy he hasn't earned nor deserves. Trump is a real creep.

Wasn’t Salon started by a Bill Clinton friend, as an arm of the Clinton administration propaganda operation?

If Salon is ‘exposing’ Trump, you sure you want to be helping?

Trump supported the Arizona immigration law from the start and opposes amnesty. So your analogy makes no sense.

Please go look up analogy.

Analogy: “situation A is like situation B”

Not analogy: “B is about A”

Not analogy: “a discussion of B is the same as a discussion of A”

Nobody here should kid themselves that Trump is one of us. He is not a Conservative. He doesn’t share our views and we shouldn’t entertain supporting him for President.

That being said, it bothers me to see folks trying to rip him because he is entertaining a run. Look, it’s not ripping him for not being a Conservative that bothers me. What bothers me is that our folks are thrilled to join the MSM in trashing Trump for raising and not backing down on the ‘Natural Born’ issue.

I’m his biggest fan on that subject, and I’m going to give him kudos on it every chance I get.

Will I vote for him in a primary? Hell no.

Now Robert Denero (sp? - who cares) is mad at Trump for raising the issue. He says that Trump shouldn’t raise issues unless he has proof. Tell you what Denero, in my book it’s more important that people don’t run for elected office without proof.

Screw you ya buffoon.
