Long before the sun rose over the Shiloh Baptist Church, people were passing through metaldetectors at the historic African American congregation where President Barack Obama and his family will celebrate Easter.

Rev. Wallace Charles Smith, in the church's program, said, "We are honored to welcome to our 10 a.m. Easter service President Barack Obama, First LadyMichelle Obama, and daughters Malia and Sasha. Google Earth shows a Langston Golf Course in Anacostia Park - it’s ESE of Shiloh but I don’t know anything about the neighborhood.

You got me. I haven’t heard of Obama going there. If so, the whole of Ward 8 would have never forgotten it.

Langston probably goes back to segregation, and is an in-city municipal golf course.

Jeremiah Wright has been welcomed by this church (Shiloh) too:

2008 article says the minister laid hands on Wright after he’d brought shame to the Obama scampaign.
