None of the sinister things that you ascribe to it are true.

This conspiracy theory of the worst sort In my Retired Military Opinion and experience with actual Courtesy Patrols does not merit space on FR.

Is it inconvenient to hear a contrary opinion to your own on FR? Does it get in the way? Is freedom of speech no longer allowed here? Especially if you don't agree with what's being said?

Is it your Retired Military Opinion that such concerns be silenced now? After all, Capitalized Opinions warrant so much more credibility, especially since they have the power to label armed military patrols in an American city, "Courtesy Patrols." If I had only known their name, I would never have been concerned in the first place - especially since it was certified by a Capitalized Vet.

I mean, I'm just a civilian, and I need to learn that this country is based on Trusting Government And Not Asking Questions - after all, that's in the Constitution, right?

Not silenced, but before such stories are posted as threats to the country and given credibility they should at least be posed as questions, asking what is this of knowledgeable Active and Retired military FReepers.

Then if it merits it, call it fact.

Concerns about what?

You were simply ignorant of an age old practice that has been going on for generations, probably back to historical times.

You started out ignorant and paranoid about those of us that have or do serve in the military, and you keep clinging to it.
