Donald Trump's plan to lower $4-a-gallon gas prices

Donald Trump, sounding increasingly like a serious presidential candidate, suggests OPEC and a lack of drilling are the causes of high gas prices. He has a multipoint plan.

By Peter Grier, Staff writer / April 25, 2011

Believe it or not, Donald Trump is sounding more and more like somebody who might actually run for president. As opposed to someone who is just talking up running for president as a means to boost ratings for “Celebrity Apprentice.”

In a Fox News interview a few days ago he noted that “a lot of people would be very upset if I didn’t run.” Plus, he keeps talking about how he’ll announce his intentions after “Celebrity Apprentice” ends its season, because if he said anything earlier he’d have to put the show in a blind trust, or something like that. This implies that he is going to run, because if he isn’t, he could say so anytime he wants.

The more I hear “experts” like Karl Rove and the RINO pundits say he has “no chance” and “it’s a joke” the more I want Trump to run.

After all, what can OPEC and the rest do to us that they’re not already doing?

Basically a sarcastic piece from the CS Monitor that mocks Trump while pretending to take him seriously. Lots of that going around on the left who’s nervous laughter is getting quite shrill as Obama’s approval poll numbers continue to go down.

drill in America and play hardball with OPEC and Iraq. What’s not to like about that?

Donald Trump is a George Soros’ plant in the GOP. His intention is to win the GOP nomination by saying anything that appeals to the weak-minded...then when he gets the nomination he will act like a buffoon so that 0bama will win re-election. Anyone who falls for Trump’s line is a fool.

I have a better plan to lower gas prices: Get Obama out of office ASAP.

Trump is a plant? Do you have any evidence as to who bought him?

Anyone who falls for Trump’s line is a fool.

I don't get why Trump is so readily accepted by some when he is such a very recent "convert" to conservatism. the man has supported so many liberals and liberal causes in his very recent past, he should be considered a "joke" candidate.

If people were hyping Romney the way they do Trump, they would be rightly banned, yet Trump is every bit as liberal, if not more so.

He questions the birth certificate, therefore he's a saint. B.S.

After 0bama is out of office, we need to get rid of Ben Shalom Bernanke...he's the knucklehead that is printing money like a fool.

Donald Trump needs to go on national television and say one thing and the election is his.

On the first day of my Presidency I will close down the EPA, sign off on all drilling requests and other oil exploration ventures.

If Trump runs under the GOP banner then fine, let's have the debate.
But if he is planning an independent run he can kiss my Conservative ass.

You must be one of those "birthers" who would vote for anyone who scratches your "birther" itch. The reality is that we need to get rid of 0bama...but not because of his birth certificate. Instead we need to get rid of 0bama because he is a lousy president.

Additionally, launching verbal attacks on China and OPEC is childish. China's government is doing the right thing for their people...something our own government isn't doing. Also, OPEC has every right to their own oil...we shouldn't dictate to them how much to produce and at what price. We have our own oil and should be pursuing extracting as much of that as we can...the rest we can get from Canada and Mexico.

Don't let this clown lead you down the garden path...we need a president who can work with a Republican Congress...not a populist glory boy.

I’m not a huge fan of Trump (although the entertainment factor is unlimited) but, he’s the only guy I’ve seen who will go toe to toe with Obama. Who else, I dont see any brass cojones isthe rest of the field, except Backman and Palin (kinda ironic).
