Manhattan real estate mogul Donald Trump suggested in an interview Monday that President Barack Obama had been a poor student who did not deserve to be admitted to the Ivy League universities he attended. Trump, who is mulling a bid for the Republican presidential nomination, offered no proof for his claim but said he would continue to press the matter as he has the legitimacy of the president's birth certificate.
"I heard he was a terrible student, terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?" Trump said in an interview with The Associated Press. "I'm thinking about it, I'm certainly looking into it. Let him show his records."
Obama graduated from Columbia University in New York in 1983 with a degree in political science after transferring from Occidental College in California. He went on to Harvard Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude 1991 and was the first black president of the Harvard Law Review.

In the comments on the linked page several people state that he graduated from Harvard Law Magna Cum Laude. Where is any evidence of that?
How did he get into Harvard? Oh you mean the school that Barney Frank, Jamie Gorelick, Al Gore, and Ted Kennedy went to.

Another article that refers to the “Certification of Live Birth” document as the Certificate of Live Birth. They are not the same thing. The media mix it up on purpose I think to confuse the issue.

From everything we’ve seen of his student and paltry professional writing, Obama could hardly have earned magna cum laude from HLS on his own. I imagine he had someone, whether school supplied or otherwise, editing his papers, at least.
Given the fact that a good grade school student could answer a question better than the sans-teleprompter Obamaloon, I’d tend to think that Trump was right.
The libs are gonna sooner or later have to accept the terrible, but obvious fact that - even though Bush was a terrible speaker - he was smarter than the loon.
God how I hope he embarrasses the snot out of this progressive tool — and ALL of his followers to boot.

It would be smart to let Obama rise to the bait as it is now presented. Let him make his case, then let out the tidbits to refute his assertions.

In this case one would be wise to question the ‘I heard’ statement as well as the cause of the statement.
