Trump: Obama a "Terrible Student" Not Good Enough for Harvard
Associated Press ^ | Apr 25, 2011 | Beth Fouhy

Manhattan real estate mogul Donald Trump suggested in an interview Monday that President Barack Obama had been a poor student who did not deserve to be admitted to the Ivy League universities he attended. Trump, who is mulling a bid for the Republican presidential nomination, offered no proof for his claim but said he would continue to press the matter as he has the legitimacy of the president's birth certificate.

"I heard he was a terrible student, terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?" Trump said in an interview with The Associated Press. "I'm thinking about it, I'm certainly looking into it. Let him show his records."

Obama graduated from Columbia University in New York in 1983 with a degree in political science after transferring from Occidental College in California. He went on to Harvard Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude 1991 and was the first black president of the Harvard Law Review.

Obama's 2008 campaign did not release his college transcripts, and in his best-selling memoir, "Dreams From My Father," Obama indicated he hadn't always been an academic star. Trump told the AP that Obama's refusal to release his college grades were part of a pattern of concealing information about himself.

"I have friends who have smart sons with great marks, great boards, great everything and they can't get into Harvard," Trump said. "We don't know a thing about this guy. There are a lot of questions that are unanswered about our president.

Bias? You bet. They always showed bad pics of the Bushes. They are so petty in trying to portray Republicans in a bad light, it even extended to the Smithsonian, where they displayed Laura Bush's inauguration gown off in a corner by itself. The other first ladies' gowns were displayed on mannequins, Hillary's nipped in to fit the mannequin and made her look small and trim-LOL! Laura Bush's was long sleeved, and they displayed it on only a partial mannequin--the body like a sewing dummy with no arms. It was puckered on the upper body, like it was ill fitting, and the arms were stuffed with something like straw that made them huge and floppy and grotesque looking. I was so disgusted at the obvious pettiness.

A funny thing about their pictures of Palin, though. I am sure they tried and tried, but they never did get a bad picture of her, no matter the angle. She is a lot like the cameramen used to say about Liz Taylor--you could not get a bad shot of her--just beautiful and photogenic.

Editors pick their photos from the AP photostream or stock. I have watched more than one intentionally pick the one which matched their political philosophy to go with the “feeling” of how they wanted the public to react. IE - Unflattering photos for Pubbies, Great pix for libs.

Anyone with access to the AP stream can pretty much prove it on a daily basis.

Obama Espoused Radical Views in College [advocated revolution]
Steve Malzberg - WOR News Talk Radio 710 ^ | February 12, 2010 | Ronald Kessler

Dr. John C. Drew, a grant writing consultant in Laguna Niguel, Calif., tells Newsmax he met Obama in 1980 when Obama was a sophomore at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Drew had just graduated from Occidental and was attending graduate school at Cornell University.

During Christmas break, Drew says he was at Grauman-Boss’ home in Palo Alto when Obama came over with Mohammed Hasan Chandoo, his roommate from Pakistan.

“Barack [Obama] and Hasan showed up at the house in a BMW, and then we went to a restaurant together,” Drew says. “We had a nice meal, and then we came back to the house and smoked cigarettes and drank and argued politics.”

For the next several hours, they discussed Marxism.

He [Obama] was arguing a straightforward Marxist-Leninist class-struggle point of view, which anticipated that there would be a revolution of the working class, led by revolutionaries, who would overthrow the capitalist system and institute a new socialist government that would redistribute the wealth,” says Drew, who says he himself was then a Marxist.

The idea was basically that wealthy people were exploiting others,” Drew says. “That this was the secret of their wealth, that they weren’t paying others enough for their work, and they were using and taking advantage of other people. He was convinced that a revolution would take place, and it would be a good thing.”

Drew concluded that Obama thought of himself as “part of an intelligent, radical vanguard that was leading the way towards this revolution and towards this new society.” ..."

Referring to Obama’s quote from “Dreams of My Father” that he associated with Marxist professors, Drew says, “What he’s not saying is that he was in 100 percent total agreement with those Marxist professors. When you understand that, Obama’s later associations and policies make more sense, including why he was taken in by Rev. Wright’s ideology.”

Thank you, Coyote, (New to this forum as of this very month). You certainly are protective of Obama. And yes, both Bush and Kerry were critiqued widely on the grades that were revealed on their transcripts. I do find it interesting, though, that you bring up only Bush and Reagan - evidently Kerry, Gore and Clinton are not even on your radar in terms of curiosity. You might be more comfortable on the Democratic Underground - they are equally un-curious about Dems.

Doesn't matter to me he has no proof. Obama has given us none, and O lies and exaggerates all the time. Trump is bringing up questions the press should have brought up 3 years ago. They sifted thru George Bush's files with a fine tooth comb and talked about his getting into Yale(undergrad)/Harvard(grad sch) because of his family. I am sure that helped, but how is that different from O getting in on affirmative action-and Michelle, and Sotomayer (sp?)At least Bush paid his own way, and I guarantee taxpayers paid for the other three and thousands more just like them.

I say "go and blow, The Donald!
