Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Monday that he doesn't think it would be appropriate for the U.S. or NATO to intervene militarily in Syria the way they had in Libya.
"I don't see a scenario right now or anytime in the near future where the injection of U.S. or NATO military action would in any way beneficially help the situation, I'm sorry to say," McCain said on NBC's "Today" show.

At least he’s consistently not consistent.
So, then.....R2P is not a principle.....but a matter of convenience. Sounds about right for liberal doctorine.
Simple . Syria does not supply oil to the US or Europe .
Oy vey. Such a choice the R establishment gave us in 2008....
Sure. Lets kill everyone.
No Quarter.
In the end it will only but us!
- well - at least very few of us remaining ................
He’ll change his mind if Obama tells him to.
Reaching across the aisle, don’t you know?
Why we rely on such compromised individuals, as a nation amazes me. Pick any vagrant out of a subway station and they have a better idea of how to run America. Who is John Gault?
A “reach across the aisle” is just another term for a reach-around.
As long as Bashar al Assad has the support of his Army, neither Hell, high water or John McCain will dislodge him from power in Syria.
What, there are no heroes of yours in that situation, John? Jerkwad.
We have a winner. "Responsibility to protect" was a LIE.
Stupid jerk, who bought the little man off and how much did they pay.
I had always thought McCain lived in Arizona, now it seems he's in the state of constant confusion.
I can agree with him to this degree. The US ought not get entangled with Islamic affairs in Syria -or Pakistan- or
Afghanistan- or Iraq-or Libya or ? until -or unless we have removed the Islamic threat that exists within our own borders
i.e.the Dearborn Mich.Mosques, the NY City mosques-including that planned for Ground Zero.Certainly if we must go putting boots or bombs on the ground on foreign soil we could start with helping Canada remove the Islamic Threat- or Great Britain- or France-or former Western Allies.
I gotta say, the RINO hopeful is a turd. Even though I met him personally and worked for his father, he is such a disappointment.
