If he really wanted to make an impression, he should have obeyed orders, gone on his combat mission, done his duty...and then miss movement by refusing to return to the states. That would have been the honorable thing to do.

There are different opinions, of course, but it doesn’t make any sense to put him in the same class as a guy who goes AWOL because he’s a drunk, or afraid, or misses his mommy.

That’s all I’m saying. The man had deployed numerous times before, so it wasn’t a “what-the-hell-let’s-miss-movement” type of issue.

Yes, I realise that, but he had a responsibility to those troops. I believe he should have gone and refused to return to the USA, not the other way around, if he wanted to make a statement by refusing movement.

So long as the FRAUD remains-ie. the WhiteHouse is under the
control of an ineligible usurper and a Party determined to destroy AmericaI cannot consider any American truely Free. Unless virtue is restored-and the Founding principles of Religion(Christianity) and Morality ( a Morality based upon our shared Christian Religious beliefs) The hero may be released from his confines but without Christ in the nation no man can be free.

Well, we all got our opinions...and they usually don’t have much impact on the real world. Cheers

My guess is that Col. Lakin will not be allowed to discuss emperor 0bama's ineligibility under threat of being thrown back into the dungeon.

What can be excluded from gifts?
The general rule is that any gift is a taxable gift. However, there are many exceptions to this rule. Generally, the following gifts are not taxable gifts.

Gifts that are not more than the annual exclusion for the calendar year.
Tuition or medical expenses you pay for someone (the educational and medical exclusions).
Gifts to your spouse.
Gifts to a political organization for its use.
In addition to this, gifts to qualifying charities are deductible from the value of the gift(s) made.

May I deduct gifts on my income tax return?
Making a gift or leaving your estate to your heirs does not ordinarily affect your federal income tax. You cannot deduct the value of gifts you make (other than gifts that are deductible charitable contributions). If you are not sure whether the gift tax or the estate tax applies to your situation, refer to Publication 950, Introduction to Estate and Gift Taxes.

How many annual exclusions are available?
The annual exclusion applies to gifts to each donee. In other words, if you give each of your children $11,000 in 2002-2005, $12,000 in 2006-2008, and $13,000 on or after January 1, 2009, the annual exclusion applies to each gift.

"I hope that someone starts to bring up the fact that he could still be born in Hawaii and not be “Natural Born”."

Exactly!

The unthinking are being led down the path to believe that if he was born in Hawaii, he is eligible.

Trump needs to expand the conversation to indicate the true status of 0bama as not being eligible to be the President because he is not a Natural Born Citizen, no matter where he was born.

Mr. Lakin is a coward. He denied some soldier his surgical expertise because of his own self interest. He should have gotten the firing squad. How many soldiers died because he decided not to deploy downrange.

“Mr. Lakin is a coward.”

I don’t think so. The guy just gave up his pension, retirement benefits and an honorable discharge in order to protest an unvetted person being elected POTUS. He and his family have suffered public ridicule, scorn and harrassment. He will never recoup the financial loss and the harm to his reputation.

Just so everyone knows - “smoothoperator” has a 2009 signup date, a total of 12 comments, and just posted this one, apparently the new talking point for Zero’s team is “it’s okay if he was foreign born”. This is the new tactic, very clear. “NBC status is outdated, get rid of it. So what if he is a dual citizen or foreign born”. This is the official fallback position now that more crap is about to hit the fan.

Who the hell cares if Barry is foreign born. I would vote for a foreign born candidate if they can take care of the current economic woes. A foreign born candidate would probably get more traction than the current GOP hopefuls. That person would have my vote. Arnold comes to mind. Damn...I would even vote for Putin.

Do you endorse this sentiment? I see you have let it stand.

No slimeball. I am a former soldier and Marine who joined for my country - not a President. I wrote a blank check to Sam for my life. BTW, send your insensitive comment to a Gold Star family who lost a son or daughter.
