The whole area entailing Washington DC and Prince George’s County Maryland ,IS the National Zoo.

The area where the zoo is located is a very high-rent neighborhood in the NW section of the city. I work a block away and can tell you for a fact that property prices in that neighborhood for something decent are well over $1 million.

That said, after getting caught up in the fracas as I was driving home from work yesterday and seeing the violent beat down take place just two cars in front of me, I would NEVER, EVER choose to live in DC. I drive 30 miles in to go to work and I drive home again. That's it.

I know Washington very well and you are correct. That is a bery nice part of the town. What we used to call West of the Park.

It isn’t the neighborhood it is the denizens of the city who roam through it.

Just a while ago a woman was killed by a co-worker also West of the park, a very nice part of town, after she did the co-worker a favor and unlocked the store so the co-worker could get her coat.

When you are a lamb surrounded by lions there really isn’t a safe place. Washington is filled ith people who hate.
