No I just think it is a good idea for Rush to make a pick.

Then, I suggest you tell him that. Of course, it depends on what he considers to be a good idea...

I, too, don’t understand why certain conservatives get all amusedly indignant when a man with no chance to win throws his hat into the ring.

” He said nothing substantial”

Well I guess you are flaming me!

I pointed out there were 8 original, attacks without ANY substance. Am I to understand, that point has no meaning to you?

I hate the left more than anyone on FR could possible know and only the laws of the land prevent me from acting upon that hatred of these vile scum.

If we are to just use the same tired old Saul Alinsky attack methods used by the left then how are we any better than they are?

Subsequent posts provided information regarding RP’s position and that is useful information not the original 8 posts of NOTHING

He never does. I think he was against McCain though. For some reason he liked Bush. Now he is for anything with an R in front. Emergency Election. I would actually vote for a Kangaroo before Obama.

Right backatcha! I'm usually civil. I just don't put up with dumb replies like yours.

Btw, attacking someones screen handle is not only juvenile, it shows you lost the debate. Thanks for playing though.

>>>>>>I will be proud to be your enemy.

LOL

He never does.

Then, obviously he disagrees with you that it would be a good idea. Point made.

I think he was against McCain though. For some reason he liked Bush. Now he is for anything with an R in front.

Well, if he's all across the board as you imply, why do you think it would be a good idea for him to come out with a candidate? So you can trash his pick? It seems as though that's where you're headed with this.

Look, pick who you want and let it go at that. Don't deign to tell others what they should do/not do.

You claim 8 ‘attacks’ were unsubstantiated. You offered no information to refute any of them. You did some name calling, out of frustration/aggravation but said nothing else in response. Do you have a point?

bcsco, we have an extremely important election cycle coming up and, as I stated, RP would not get my vote but the reason for my post is that we all need as much informational AMMO as possible to not only defeat the current regime but make sure those running against Barry are as qualified as possible.

All those points you copied, did not tell me or anyone else what RPs positions are. Has he come out with a new position? A modified position? Changed a position?

Kook Alert, Another Big Time loser, the Aw jeez graphic, get aboard the crazy train, funny headline, loony tunes graphic, CANNOT BE USED IN A DEBATE WITH SOMEONE.

Why questioning such typical DU tactics would subject me to the attacks on this board is strange but I guess I'll just consider the source/sources.

Look, Ron gets it on some things and doesn’t get it on just as many. HE is the reason he is considered a kook. Those who call him one, can’t help it if the label fits, and it does.

There was a time when I considered Ron to be a very bright guy. Ron himself destroyed that perception. People calling him a loon didn’t have any impact on that whatsoever.

It’s an Alinsky tactic to trash someone unfairly to destroy them. It’s not an Alinsky tactic to call a guy what he is on merit.

How on earth does one refute NOTHING? You and Regan man have painted yourselves into a corner in an attempt to attack someone who dislikes what the left is doing to this country as much as any of you.

Give as many negative substantiated comments as possible about RP or any other candidate for that matter. Great that is what is needed to defeat those who will destroy this country.

But if it makes you an Reagan Man feel superior to attack me for accurately pointing out what was posted then no amount of debate will resolve it.

Asking you questions. I’m in no corner. You refuse to coherently respond. Quite an elaborate level of conspiracy you seem to have going there:)

Absolutely, we are in 100% agreement.

As there was nothing in the original 8 posts other than merit-less attacks they were a Saul Alinsky tactic which IMO is not worthy of FR and more like DU.

Seems one cannot point that out without further SA attacks.

You have the right approach. I only wish others did. We need as much ammo as possible for the next election.

Your continued use of comparing FR with DU is getting very annoying. And this over-the-top rhetoric on your part is way beyond these simple posts you've been criticizing. Those posts are critical of a public individual. You're being critical of a fellow FReeper. I suggest you back of, FRiend.

RP would not get my vote but the reason for my post is that we all need as much informational AMMO as possible to not only defeat the current regime but make sure those running against Barry are as qualified as possible.

First you say RP would not get my vote. Then you go on how we need all the 'informational AMMO as possible'. What, from someone you've already decided you wouldn't vote for? It seems to me you already have enough 'AMMO' to make that decision. You do. I know I do, as I too have decided (a long time ago) I'll not vote for RP. I don't need to know more. I don't understand why you do.

"Paul said, “We have to defend our principles.” He does however acknowledge the right of the developer at the Ground Zero Mosque to put the building there."

With that said, I have to go crap in my tin foil Ron Paul hat.

In all fairness to our founders.. When this country was founded we somewhat have the luxury of having the ocean somewhat protecting us from threats overseas. Not anymore. In fact after Washington left, we had a quasi war with France under Adams. Jefferson sent the Marines to Tripoli, and of course the War of 1812 started by Madison. We no longer have that luxury..

To all!

I guess you do not agree that posts containing attacks without substance are not a problem. Strange but nothing I can do about it.

It has been enlightening (and disappointing) to read the rationalization attempts of some of you supporting such baseless attacks.

bcsco, I despise Saul Alinsky, and the DU for the very same reasons and if pointing out that certain Freepers have fallen into the same trap is annoying then I apologize for annoying you with the obvious.

I had no reason to think you wouldn't agree with that, and I'm glad you did.

As there was nothing in the original 8 posts other than merit-less attacks they were a Saul Alinsky tactic which IMO is not worthy of FR and more like DU.

I consider the first eight posts to be expressions of people's impressions of Paul.  Are you trying to make the case that when we talk about Paul, Obama, or anyone else, we have to give a long list of supporting evidence that backs up our impression of the individual.  When we talk about Obama, we expect others to be up to speed with regard to his actions.  We don't need to explain everything in detail.  We just expect others to understand where we're coming from and agree.  Is that an Alinsky tactic?  Is it a Democrat Underground tactic?  I don't think so.

Look, if I called Obama a pedofile, I would certainly need to back that up.  Calling him a Fascist is buttressed by common knowledge.  With Paul it's much the same thing.  I believe the guy is somewhat unhinged.  Others share my view.  It's not an Alinsky tactic or something that is typical of Democrat Underground to speak in terms that many of us understand fully.

Seems one cannot point that out without further SA attacks.

If you're a Paul supporter, it may look like Saul Alinsky-like attacks here.  If you think of how we address other public figures, I think you could just as easily come to the conclusion that Paul does get a fair shake here.  If you disagee with people's assessment, you are free to make your case and engage others on the topic.

You have the right approach. I only wish others did. We need as much ammo as possible for the next election.

I appreciate that comment.  I agree that we need as much ammo as possible.  I do believe that ammo is developed and provided here on a regular basis.  If people were to do a search on Paul, I think they would run into years worth of comments and discussions of him here, that would prove educational.

I don't have a problem with people addressing him with short personal takes.  If I were reading a negative comment about him for the first time, I'd either ask questions or do some searches to find out why some people have such a negative view of the man in the context of him running for the Presidency.

Take care.

If you have something to say to me, don't be a coward, ping me.

Your blanket remarks attacking several FReepers for posting accurate opinions of Ron Paul, was totally irresponsible. The dislike of Ron Paul comes from his NOT being a mainstream conservative. Example, Paul's isolationist and protectionist foreign policy is out of step with conservatism.

Running around lashing out at folks shows you are a malcontent trolling for trouble and have nothing worthy to offer the debate.
