Giuliani leaving ‘door open’ to White House run
Washington Times ^ | 04/26/2011 | Ben Birnbaum

Posted on 04/26/2011 4:50:23 PM PDT by Hawk720

Former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani told The Washington Times on Tuesday that he is keeping “the door open” to a 2012 presidential bid, saying he might jump into the race if he believes the other candidates are unelectable.

Mr. Giuliani is slated to speak next month in New Hampshire, where he finished fourth among 2008 Republican presidential candidates in the first-in-the-nation primaries.

“I’m going to go to New Hampshire to speak to a law enforcement group, so that’s really the main purpose of the speech, but I keep in contact with people in New Hampshire and try to figure out what kind of a chance I have,” Mr. Giuliani said in an interview. “At this point, I’m not actively considering it, but I have the door open.”

In New Hampshire, Mr. Giuliani will appear at a May 12 house party sponsored by the Granite Oath PAC of Ovide Lamontagne, whose failed 2010 U.S. Senate bid was supported by the tea party.

The Granite Oath PAC has held similar gatherings for two potential GOP presidential candidates, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, and is planning an event for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich later next month.

Mr. Giuliani said he was looking at other possible candidates as he weighs whether to mount a repeat bid.

“What will factor into my decision is what kind of chance the people that are running have to win and beat President Obama,” he said. “I think it’s vital we have a different president in 2013.”

Not a chance. On the other hand, they might as well try to run McCain again...

I wonder if he is going to skip all the early stuff and focus on Florida like last time. Yeah, that worked out real well for him!

Forget it. He’s a good guy, did what he said he was going to do while running for Mayor, but he let the libs destroy him where now he is seen as a Sammy Gravano. I mean his 2nd hand man Bernie Kerik, THE highest decorated cop in NYPD history, goes to jail for taxes and accepting A bribe, if you could even call it a bribe. How many people here check out if their contracters have connections to the mob? Yet Charles Rangel who did the same thing, if not worse, gets a slap on the wrist and is re-elected. Hey Rudy, why don’t you try opening your mouth? If you can’t handle pssy ass liberals in a city how are you going to handle psycho Muslims and China?

Let him join his fellow RINOs Trump, Romney and Huck. Conservatives will flock to Palin, West, Cain or Bachmann. Maybe Rubio but not convinced he isn’t another amnesty cheerledaer.

Hey Julie Annie, do you think the outcome in 2012 would be any different than it was in 2008? May I refer you to a very famous saying by a very famous genius for some guidance?

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"

Giuliani the former US Attorney and Assistant Attorney General has just what it take it to Obama on the eligibility issue. Much more than Trump. He’d go from the worst to the first if he was effective.

The 2012 election is not going to be about Obozo’s eligibilty.

Whoever is the GOP nominee will focus on everything Obozo is doing to run this country into the ground.
