Quite frankly I am surprised Jamie Gorelick isn't being looked at for the position. I guess they are still trying to get her the FBI gig.

Therein lies a huge problem with our government. We have become an oligarchy.
Because the powers that be require politically reliable mediocrities that will do as they are told and deliver the results desired (even if the results appear disastrous to us).
It is as ludicrous to imagine there is no one more gifted for the office of SecDef than Leon Panetta as it is to believe that Ellen DeGeneres has more entertainment ability than anyone else on the planet. In both cases, they have friends in high places who will utilize them in perpetuity.
