Obama, lost in thought (Giant, hilarious, projectile barf alert)
Washington Post ^ | April 26, 2011 | Dana Milbank

Posted on 04/27/2011 5:53:50 AM PDT by libstripper

When I covered George W. Bush’s White House, my job was made easier by the simplicity of the subject. The president had a few defining mantras — Cut taxes! Rally the base! Terrorists hate freedom! With us or against us! — and most of his decisions could be understood, even predicted, by applying one of the overarching philosophies.

With President Obama, there is no such luxury. The political right is befuddled as it tries to explain him: First, Obama was a tyrant and a socialist; now he’s a weakling who refuses to lead. The political left is almost as confused, demanding to know why Obama gave away so much on health care and in budget negotiations. Nearly everybody puzzles over Obama’s ad hoc responses to Egypt, Libya and now Syria, grasping for a still-elusive Obama Doctrine

Ihe Illegal is actually a fairly easy man to understand and predict. All anyone needs to understand is that he's a doctrinaire communist/Ismamofascist who's neither very bright nor very courageous, a confirmed, utterly bitter rascist, virulently hates America and Americans, and is avaricioius as hell. Put all of that together and all of his actions become understandable and predictable.

It's unfamiliar territory for him.

All this is absolutely and painfully true.

What is worse, as bad as he is himself, “O” is the tool of even more treacherously anti-American monsters.

It is the perfect storm for us.

With 200+ year habit of self government, personal and political autonomy and the tradition of wholesome individuality, Americans should be capable of facing this with resolve and vigor.

Instead, half the country is in the malignant thrall of this poseur.

It is this way because we have an educational system and MSM completely unaccountable and OUT OF CONTROL, by now.

Who in the Bible said: ‘If you seek your enemies, look in your own house’???

It’s simple really. Gross incompetence serves to explain everything he does.

Dana Milbank is so predictable. Still beating the “Obama is too brilliant for you mere plebes to understand” horse when we have all seen the guy in action for 2 years now. There is no brilliance to be found!

Nicely put. This template makes a hell of a lot more sense than the "he's just too brilliant" one!!

When your approach to all problem management is emotional manipulation over substanative repair, the backlog never goes away. As his term continues, he’s being overcome by his own emotional messes.

I’d say that all of that applies to n0bama’s puppetmaster, George Soros. n0bama certainly hates America but is just doing Soros’s bidding.

"With President Obama, there is no such luxury."

It is completely within possibility to be both incompetent/unqualified AND anti-American simultaneously.

As for the "simplicity" of Bush, I never really understood how the Left rationalized his being both a moron and the Devil incarnate.

He could barely tie his shoes himself on the one hand, but masterminded the massive conspiracy to bring down the World Trade Center?

Say what you will about the Devil, he damn sure is not stupid.

But the of course, just scratch the surface of any and all Progressive stances and a contradiction is revealed...for anyone not blinded by their righteous religious devotion to the cause such as Dana clearly displays in this naive contribution, at least.

"Nearly everybody puzzles over Obama’s ad hoc responses to Egypt, Libya and now Syria, grasping for a still-elusive Obama Doctrine."

I used to be a Judge of Elections locally. I remember working the poll on election day 2004 when Kerry was running, and one of my poll workers (staunch Democrat) thinking she was sounding very reasonable explaining to me that the reason I didn't "get" John Kerry was that he is just so intelligent that everything he says is just too far over my head for me to understand. His every utterance is just so complex and nuanced.

In typical Liberal fashion, she was blind not only to the fact she was insulting my intelligence, but at the same time making a strong case for why he should NOT be president...what kind of a "leader" is someone who demonstrates leadership only within their own mind because no one else sees it...except for those foolish enough to believe it makes them look smart to pretend the naked emperor has fine robes?

What kind of "leader" is that?

Barack Obama.

What kind of fool mistakes Chancey Gardner as contemplative and profound?

Dana Milbank.

Dear Dana; your writing talents are wasted at The Washington Post. I hear that Campbells is looking for someone to “Punch-up” the ingredients listings on their soup can labels. I think this is more your talent level.

In the book “Price of the Phoenix”, the author talks about what makes a good ship's Captain. They have to be smart, but not too smart. If they see and understand all the possibilities, they will freeze and not be able to make a decision, much less a correct decision.

This is not Obama’s problem. Anyone listening to him after TOTUS goes out know exactly what his problem is. He is totally ignorant of the things he is talking about and does not study or prepare the way he should as President. Bush studied constantly and read voraciously. He took advice from the best minds he could find. Just look at the mental giants that Obama surrounds himself with.

Yup, you’ve got it. I just read the article this afternoon, and giant hilarious projectile barf alert is right. This really needs a double head palm, at least - or the not this - - - again.
