I’ve never thought the birth cert was anything but a red herring. The question remains: what was the Framers intent in inserting ‘natural born citizen’ into the Constitution for the Office of POTUS, and POTUS only.
The long form being released shows father’s place of birth as “Kenya, East Africa.” Without documentation that BHO-I was naturalized pre-8/4/61, that would mean BHO was born with dual allegiance. There’s ample contemporaneous documentation that dual allegiance is precisely what the Framers wanted to avoid for POTUS.
If I were Trump I’d be pretty proud and honored, too. But this either resolves for all time that dual allegiance means nothing and we can have anchor babies walk into the Oval Office, or at some point the question of the term’s meaning has to be resolved.
