Requirements to be POTUS Twelfth Amendment states that: "[N]o person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States." The Fourteenth Amendment does not use the phrase "natural born citizen". It does provide that "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." He's eligible. Period. End of story. Stop the nonsense. Why Obama waited until today, Lord only knows. I'm just glad he came out with it now and didn't wait until 6 months before the election which would have really buried our chances. At least now the kooks on our side that believe this stuff have been totally marginalized and we can move on as a nation to try to DEFEAT Obama on real stuff, not conspiracy tin foil hat garbage.

And yet, those amendments did not remove, change or even attempt to remove or change the Article II requirements.
