“Just heard an interesting tidbit from Byron York. He said that in 1961, at least one parent, over the age of 14, would have to have been living in the USA for 5 consecutive years.”
Byron’s point was that even if he was born overseas, Obama would be considered a natural born citizen due to his American mother, except for ... “ a small legal technicality.”
The small legal technicality is “living in US for 5 years since age 14” which Stanley Dunham missed by a few months by virtue of not being 19 yet. That was changed/fixed in law subsequently.
Was the change in the law retroactive? Just curious.
