The media was every bit as nasty during Reagan’s time as it is now. People forget that, because of the generally glowing coverage the media had when Reagan died. There’s nothing new under the Sun.

The media is just as nasty today, they went ballistic against Reagan and against George W, but we have never seen anything like what they have done against Governor Palin since August 2008.

Explain George W. Bush. Where did playing nice with the media help him?! This country is already finished anyway. Can’t wait to see how playing nice helps your candidate.

As I recall, the media was pretty nasty to Reagan, depicting him as a doddering old man. A man not up to the rigors of the presidency.

What I don't remember is the media going after his family. Oh sure, they went after Nancy after he was elected but not while he was running.

Also, I don't recall the media mentioning his children at all.....again, only after his election and only Patty and Ron, the ballerina due to their feud with their father.

The difference to me is how the media has gone after Palin's kids....nasty, horrid comments that largely go unchastised by the anyone on the left.
