Hawaii slams door on birth certificates, except for Obama

State gets tough on those seeking documentation in wake of Trump questions

The state of Hawaii created an "exception" for Barack Obama to obtain copies of documents regarding his birth even while it was cracking down on anyone else who might have wanted their own records, too.

Confirmation was posted on the White House website today as administration officials released a copy of a "Certificate of Live Birth" from Hawaii in support of Obama's story that he was born there.

The document that was released:

According to the White House posting, Loretta J. Fuddy, the director of health in Hawaii, told the president she had "legal authority to approve the process by which copies of such records are made. Through that authority, in recognition of your status as president of the United States, I am making an exception to current departmental policy which is to issue a computer-generated certified copy."

She wrote, "We hope that issuing you these copies of your original Certificate of Live Birth will end the numerous inquires received by the Hawaii Department of Health to produced this document. Such inquires have been disruptive to staff operations and have strained state resources."

A noted from Obama said he was requesting two copies of "my original certificate of live birth." He designated Judith Corley "of Perkins Coie" to act on his behalf.

Her letter to the state requested a waiver of state policy that allows only for the dissemination of computer-generated "short form" documents.

Between Trump and Corsi there was something here. I would suspect they worked with forensic experts to make suer a forgery looked legit, whether this one is legit or not. the big question is why not before and why now? Just asking.

If the document wasn't constructed with Adobe Illustrator, I can't see any logical reason why he would have resisted releasing it. The Hawaiian policy was apparently less than a week old, so why all the effort to prevent it's release? If it's all a smokescreen it doesn't do him much good releasing it 18 months before the election, either.

Now, what about his college transcripts, SAT scores, LSAT scores, pre-presidential medical records, draft registration and passport file?

It does make it much more difficult to compare the document that was published to any of the same time period in the Hawaiian data base if they won't release any others, does it not?

I’ve heard there is some question about whether this document was doctored (If you will forgive the pun) because of different fonts used in sections of the document.. And why release it today rather than two years ago?
This guy has pulled so many fast ones, I don’t trust anything he “releases

Excellent points! As soon as I saw it, I was suspicious. Here is an analysis that was posted on "The Smoking Gun" website:
Submitted by Ohiowordguy on Wed, 2011-04-27 14:22. I noticed the possible "layers" in this document almost immediately. When I had the .pdf file of the BC open in my browser then used Command + Tab (on an Apple computer), to switch to another app, I noticed that the majority of the text disappeared. I recreated the effect numerous times. As others have suggested, when you open the BC in Acrobat (full version) and strip out the "Metadata" and "Deleted or cropped content" this SAME EXACT TEXT disappears leaving only a few bits of type, date stamps and all or part of three signatures: his mother, the attendant and the local registrar. Also, some of the digits used in the Aug. 8, 1961 date stamp disappear. The full background and the April 25, 2011 stamp remain. I am making no "birther" claims, but CLEARLY this document has been altered. If it had been photographed or scanned, the pixels containing all the information (the document background, the type, the signatures, date stamps and the check marks) would be part of ONE pixelated image. As someone who uses Photoshop/Adobe Creative Suite daily, it is my belief that had the BC been scanned or photographed, the layering would not happen. Again, I am making NO "birther" claims or conclusions. But I believe this document has been altered.

I am not buying his claim that he is a Christian, especially without a baptism certificate.

Did Mama Obama baptize him even though she was an agnostic? Did his 2 muslim fathers baptize him before sending him off to koranic studies classes?

Did his Unitarian grandmother baptize him?

Did the former muslim Jeremiah Wright baptize him?

When/where did it happen?

The Perkins Coie lawfirm that I have interacted with over the past 30 years is one group of intelligent, slick, slimy, lawyers with limited ethics!

Having our president have a copy of his birth certificate sent to them is an interesting statement and I am sure this is all about being able to satisfy the new laws that many states are requiring of candidates for president.

I can’t remember what year Hawaii became a state. but my kids were born in ‘51, ‘53 and ‘60 and all their birth certificates had their little footprint on them. No footprint on Obama’s.
