Let's hear it for German efficiency. The Bundeswehr has already awarded a medal for an action in February - less than three months. The United States Army would have taken years to award a similar medal.

Let's hear it for German efficiency. Thumbs up to that. The modern German army, as in the tradition of their Prussian and Hessian forebears, understand how the recognition encourages esprit de corps in a way that those outside the military rarely understand. The US military bureaucracy doesn't get it either.
