West was dead when article was written...here is quote from article:
the obstetrician who delivered him is gone, said Nelson, referring to Dr. Rodney T. West, who died in February at the age of 98.

No it doesnt. All it states is that Nelson says West delivered Obama. Nowhere in the article does Dr. West claim he did it. The point of the post was to show that the all powerful and always right SNOPES.COM was using bogus information and hearsay to claim something was a falsehood.

Lol. That's what I was thinking just a little while ago.
To: Brandonmark
I agree. Either Nelson is referring to West or Snopes is inferring she was referring to him. But nowhere does West say he did it.

The point of posting this was just to show that Snopes used an article written on January 20, 2009 to dispute claims that the campaign produced COLB was a forgery. In that article from the The Buffalo News a different doctor (West) is mentioned as the the one who delivered Obama, rather than Dr. Sinclair who signed the document released today. Just curious as to why Snopes felt confident in this account published on Inauguration day.

exactly. where is the “folded” up version?
they’ve told so many stories they can’t keep them straight (not that they care), but we can.
and to get it off SNOPES? i know this is a left wing, democrat machine, but are they just: too stupid, arrogant, think we are stupid, or all three?

Snopes is run by a man/woman team of ultra left-wing liberals. They haven’t seen the truth. They only spread liberal lies.

Wow. These people can't get their stories straight. The Snopes article says Obama was delivered by a Dr. Rodney West, but the so-called birth certificate Obama released today has a signature of someone named Dr. Sinclair.
Sidebar question: Hawaii birth certificates didn't record the baby's birth weight back then?

Dr. Sinclair's widow works with the HI DOH. As WND reported:
"[She] works on a state taskforce that advises the agency that released the document, Hawaii's Department of Health. Ivalee Mae Sinclair, 82, works for the state of Hawaii's legislature. In January, she was elected chairman of the Special Education Task Force of the Department of Education, a panel she has been on since its founding by the state legislature in 2007.
