what kind of shoppers get their checks at the beginning of a month?...welfare or SS recipients.....not working people...
Yeah. Those damn social security people. Maybe they should stick with dog/cat food... They never worked, huh? /s
I get paid twice a month...and one of the “checks” (direct deposit) arrives on the 1st (or a day or two earlier if the 1st is a weekend/holiday).
My husband is paid mid-month and end of the month, typically last business day. So if we weren’t on Dave Ramsey’s plan, the first of the month would be when we’d shop because that’s when his check cleared the account.
do not EVER compare welfare recipients and S.S. people in the same sentence....I am 72 years old, on s.s. and have been paying into it for over 50 years....We've paid our dues and the dumbocrats have developed the welfare system to get themselves votes.....one group is getting a return on their investment, the other is bleeding you dry....wake up
Actually, there are many employers who pay on the 1st and 15th of each month, rather than bi-weekly. It saves them the cost of processing two full payroll cycles each year.
I do. My fully taxed, non-government pension check comes on the first. My partially taxed SS retirement check comes much later.
Dirty no good SS recipients!
Oh, you almost forgot, the tens of millions of government retirees enjoying their generous, bloated tax paid retirements and their tax paid top shelf health-care benefits!

Holders ‘peoples’.
I go out of my way to avoid Wal-mart at the first of the month.
When I was a member of Uncle Sam’s Flying Circus I got paid on the first and the fifteenth.
My wife is employed by the state of Texas. She works for her paycheck. And by “works” I mean she damn sure earns it. She’s paid on the first of the month.
When I worked for the local university I was paid twice a month, one of those checks being paid at the start of the month. I hauled furniture and drove trucks. Lots of heavy manual labor.
So, you would be wrong on these counts, and by the look of the replies you have been corrected by many other people as well.
Not working people, indeed.
