Nonsense. I know of 2 lesbian pastors who were elevated to district superintendants.
Apparently they missed this one.
BTW, "gay Christian" is an oxymoron. You can be either gay or Christian. You cannot be both.

And sends them all to the Baltimore-Washington and Philadelphia Conferences, where they will be promoted to Bishops. Nine out of my last ten UMC pastors were either gay or overt gay-sympathizers, and NOT as in "welcome and repent." I left the UMC after five generations because I did not want to place my son into jeopardy.
