If things get too chaotic and bloody, foreign countries will get involved; think Mexico, China, Russia, European Union, islamic states to deliver “humanitarian” aid and to prevent “innocents” from getting “massacred”. Don’t be naive to think it will remain insular. You must think of all implications.
IMHO, that would be a very bad move on their part. They would do well to stay out of our affairs, our military has more combat experience than any other nation out there. It would be folly to put that to the test.
