I don’t blame her for this. A lot of governors would not want to mess with their own state’s Dept. of Insurance and all the laws that encompass their own state’s health insurance laws. It is a can of worms she probably did not want to open.

HMO and PPO health plans are not insurance. Since 75% of americans with health "plans" are not regulated by insurance laws, I kinda don't see the argument. Instead, it's showing that health care contracts(not insurance) have been written, issued, and performed just to get around state insurance laws. Those agencies are "protecting" fewer and fewer insurance products in healthcare every year.

HMO's and PPO's are NOT HEALTH INSURANCE! They are private contracts.

SB 1593 passed the Senate 21-8 (1 NV) and the House 37-21 (2 NV).

The current breakdown by chamber is: House/Assembly 39 Reps/20 Dems/1 Vacancy (19) and the Senate 21 Reps/9 Dems.

I would say that Brewer is sticking her finger in the eyes of Reps.

“It is a can of worms she probably did not want to open.”

That’s the problem with this Nation, to many people DON’T want to open that ‘can of worms’ and so our problems continue on without any meaningful fixes...
