That’s what mine did. At one point I was paying approximately $3500 a month and she dressed in very expensive clothing while my three daughters were dressed by Ross or Goodwill. Pretty pathetic, really. And there was not a darned thing I could do about it. The government has bigger and more guns than me.
My friend's ex-wife had the kids spending most of their time at his place, since having the kids around cramped her dating style. He fed them most nights, and bought their clothing. That didn't stop her from feeling entitled to the child support checks.
After a couple of years, he managed to convince her to let him have full custody, and the child support checks stopped. She was working, but there was no talk of HER paying child support -- he knew not to push his luck.
