Eighty-four school teachers in Madison turned in fraudulent sick notes from doctors who were handing them out at the State Capitol, but about half of them later rescinded their notes, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
The Madison paper reported on its website that school officials with the Madison Metropolitan School District released information on the sick notes Friday. According to the district, 1,769 teachers out of 2,655 took unpaid time off during four of the most heated days of protests, according to the State Journal.

Wow... these con artists get to “take back” fraudulent sick notes? Must be so nice to be able to have that privilege. Fire all of them. That’s the least that would happen to anyone in almost any other job if this was tried there.
“I lied. No wait, I take that back”
They should publish the names and school districts of the offenders.
So next time you get caught stealing something just give it back and it will be OK
I heard the other day on a local talk show that the UW doctors will be punished in various degrees from reprimand to demotion but that the University will not reveal who receives what punishments. Not a darn thing is going to happen to any of the doctors.
I propose that these teachers be required to let students rescind any wrong test answers and substitute the right ones after their tests are graded. It’s only fair.
Only half? The other half must be even stupider...
PING
The other half didn't know what the word "fraudulent" meant.
My guess is that many would be able to continue practicing in other states without much of a hassle. Is there some sort of reciprocity in medical licenses? I.e. if you get dinged in one state your license in another state is impacted?
“Little Johnny, you cheated on the final exam!”
“Since I got caught, I rescind my cheating. See, it’s all okay now.”
“...1,769 teachers out of 2,655 took unpaid time off...”
Which means 886 (1/3) didn’t.
I am 99% certain that there is. My brother is a doctor, he was educated at UW and also taught there. He went on to a fellowship at USC and now practices medicine in Oregon. I only remember him applying for his medical license once.
No “mulligans” on those sick notes. They knew what they were doing and did it deliberately. FIRE ‘EM!
Fire those lying commie bastards.
fraudulent paper they must be lock step with Obama
Yeah. I knew a bank officer in Texas who embezzled from his own bank. He got religion and went to his Board and confessed and showed them how he did it so they could fix their system and paid the money back. They still fired him and sent him to Leavenworth to do 8 years hard time.
Re #19. I asked my priest how come such a harsh sentence and he explained that bank officers are under special restrictions. It didn’t matter that he turned himself in and showed them how to fix the system or paid the money back. As a bank officer he was under an obligation to behave in a manner above reproach.
Well, I say the same thing goes for teachers and doctors. Teachers shouldn’t be lying about their excuses and doctors should not be lying about their medical excuses. Otherwise, who would believe them about anything?
Fire them all and suspend their licenses.
