I suppose singing, We Are the World, and all of the Muslims joining hands with us in a moment of enlightened brotherhood is out of the question. On a side note that the article brings to mind, does anybody know anything about the Ruger P95? I have a chance to get a good deal on one.
When the concentration of Muslims is low, it IS possible. As individuals - without pressure from an overwhelming Muslim community, Muslims can easily fit in - sing 'we are the world' and be good citizens. But - as soon as the tipping point is reached in numbers, the strength of Islam, the ideas and rules start taking over and something weird happens... THEY ( not us ) evolve into 'the other'...
