Title Eight deals with all cases and situations of US Citizenship. And by all the means one achieves it; Birth, the 14th Amendment, Naturalization of Aliens, or where and to whom one is born.
US Code (Title Eight) - Part I: Nationality at birth and collective naturalization
On Thursday's Laura Ingraham's radio show Byron York even brought up the Title Eight problem with Barry's momma's age. (19 okay, 18 not okay)

I haven’t been able to find the copy I saw with that signature out there, but it’s posted on FR somewhere. The real question is where did it come from originally, as it is clearly a fraud.
The Nordyke’s COLB was not signed by U.K.L.Lee.

...with computer-like centering of words instead circa-1961-typewriter tab stops.

A good typist, knowing what was to be typed, could easily center the words without using tabs. Yes, there are things very wrong with this document, but the centering isn't one of them.

Title Eight deals with all cases and situations of US Citizenship.
No it doesn't. Congress is only authorized to establish laws of naturalization!
Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4
To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization...

Title 8 is that Rule.
TITLE 8 - ALIENS AND NATIONALITY

Part I: Nationality at birth and collective naturalization
TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER III > Part I - Nationality at Birth and Collective Naturalization

No matter how far down the line it falls, and it falls very far, that "Part" still falls under, everything above it. The Title sets what it governs, as Congress is empowered, and this Title says that the law concerns aliens, not those having other Citizenship.

How hard is that to understand?

Read the USC Title names. The Title sets what it governs.
# Title 6 Domestic Security
# Title 7 Agriculture
# Title 8 Aliens and Nationality
# Title 9 Arbitration
# Title 10 Armed Forces

And Title 8 governs aliens. It isn't "Citizens and Nationality", is it?

there are things very wrong with this document, but the centering isn't one of them.

You sound very sure of yourself. Has someone verified that the centering was done on a character boundary like a typewriter would center things as opposed to a pixel boundary?

First, let me mock CNN for doing an article about a vast movement of Birthers and illustrating it with a photo that has one person with a cardboard sign standing in front of a billboard.

Second, I stand with Mark Steyn on this issue. Whether Obama was born in Nairobi, Honolulu or Lonesome Dove, Texas, the fact remains that he has been marinating all his life in a stew of profoundly unAmerican ideas, and it is attacking those ideas that we should concentrate on. We can win with the public on that; we cannot win with the public on the birth certificate issue.

I have a question: If John Kerry had made the truther controversy a major theme in his campaign, what do you think the electoral college results would have looked like in 2004?

That’s why this is a hopeless and dead issue.

And let’s not forget that half of all democrats thought Bush was behind 9/11 in some way, and CNN did not treat that issue this way.

Their internals must not be looking good on this, for them to dispatch CNN to try to cover their butts.

I doubt it. How are people forgetting the million times that any criticism or questioning of His Wonderfulness was decried as racism by the media? Now the media says asking for his birth certificate is racist (just like everything else we do) and that's a new strategy?

Look, Fox has reported that 4% of the news coverage in the week leading up to the release of the BC, and they also reported on a poll (I think it's one they did, I'll try to find it) that had a clear majority of Americans saying that birtherism is the province of nutjobs. Now, I don't share that view, but it seems to me it's not possible that the media's barely reporting this, the people who know about it think its cuckoo and the internals are showing he's going to lose the election because of it. He released this thing as a tactic or a distraction at a time when gas prices are at $4.09.

Problem is this...Since BOZ was “convinced” that his “good word” and a COLB would keep the controversy going he triangulated the factions by releasing the faux COLB this week...problem is, PC or not, it has holes larger than a huge wedge of Jarlsberg. What the Regime failed to realize is that with so many holes HIS credibility will eventually be destroyed. That is all....

“That’s why this is a hopeless and dead issue.”

It’s not a fair comparison. That relates to America’s security and safety at wartime, which Americans will always rebel against.

It’s just awesome to get this out there, and it won’t be a big issue overtly in the campaign. It’s important to sow these valid seeds of doubt.

There is clear evidence that the reason the Constitutional Convention required that the President (and later, by Amendment, the Vice President) be a “natural born citizen” is that they were concerned that the person who would be head of State, chief executive and Commander-In-Chief of the US armed forces have absolutely no conflicts of interest, legal obligations or loyalties to any foreign sovereigns or foreign powers.

Some nations claim you as their citizen or subject based on where your were born, some based on who you your parents were (father and/or mother,) and some based on both together. So by requiring that the President be born at a location where the US is sovereign, any foreign claim on the President to allegiance based on his place of birth is precluded. By requiring that the President be born to parents who are solely US citizens, any foreign claim on the President to allegiance based on his parentage is precluded.

You may disagree with the goal and/or the means of achieving it. But it’s not stupid. Nor racist. And it’s what the Constitution requires. And if one faction gets to disregard the Constitution because they disagree, then that sets a precedent where all other factions can do the same. And get away with it. Is that really what you want?
