SALT LAKE CITY— Utah’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force arrested 39 suspects on suspicion of dealing in child pornography after a month-long investigation...The most arrests came out of Utah County with many of the suspects in positions of trust and lived a double lifestyle, according to investigators. “These are your next door neighbors, pastor, scout master, teacher, the coach. Many are first-time offenders,’ says Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff...Last year, during a similar bust, police arrested 14 individuals and seized 100 CDs with child porn images. This year there were 39 arrests and 1,000 CDs seized. "If a stack of documents was made with each child pornography image seized, the stack would be 1,909 high or the height of 347 Mount Everests," says Shurtleff. "It is on the rise which is amazing because we’ve been doing this for 10 years."...
For those who don't know, Utah County is the Provo area...and the most concentrated Mormon county in the state...about 85% Mormon. But he mentions "pastor," too...and Mormons don't have "pastors." So can somebody do some digging to "out" who this "pastor" was?

the people in this state don’t have a clue as to what their children are exposed to on the internet Sadly, this is most likely true. I believe that conservatives (F.R. members) are much more likely to keep watch on their children, I know I do.

does this statement bug anybody else?.....what is she saying, that its okay to just view child abuse/porn but then they get really bad and want to do it themselves..???...talk about a slippery slope.

he used those terms as examples that the people caught are "normal" regular citizens in respected positions....
I'm not going to get in the trap of criticizing Mormons because of this porn ring.....we all know that it is found in all communities, and to be smug and to think that it "can't happen here" is pure folly....
on a larger note, how absolutely evil and sinister pornagraphy is....especially child pornography...
its Satanism and yet we have people who will still defend it as a "libertarian" issue....

I am so glad we do these stings, it is probably very effective in preventing a lot of child abuse.
It is like the only real sin in America any more, most other crimes get a shrug.
