Wrong question. Where does it say they aren't?
And let's cut straight to the correct answer. It doesn't.
YOU have no PROOF.
You are going by feelings without logic.
The constitution REQUIRES the POTUS to be NBC.
The constitution REQUIRES the POTUS to be NBC.
The constitution REQUIRES the POTUS to be NBC.
Did I hurt your feelings?
I agree that the Constitution does not say anything explicitly about a person with duel citizenship not being eligible for POTUSA. It does say explicitly POTUSA shall be a ‘natural born citizen’. I would guess the next logical link to be answered is “Who is a natural born born and what sets the status of such?. As for me I’ll go with the Founding Fathers and their documents and public expression of intentions.
“Where in the constitution does it say Dual born citizens are eligible?”
Wrong question. Where does it say they aren’t?
And let’s cut straight to the correct answer. It doesn’t.
Article 2 Section 1:
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.
No person...It doesn’t say dual born citizens are or are not eligible. It says...No person except an NBC.
No person except a natural born citizen.
Wrongy Dongy dufus! The Constitution requires an NBC with the only exception being those (like Washington) who were alive when this doc was written! You’re a leftwing troll...
