As long as the Army of Syria supports the House of al Assad, they are undefeatable and are going nowhere.

Some of the pix from Syria are just horrible.

OTOH, there are a lot of people there and they are clearly expendable to the regime.

You have to credit the folks who are speaking out & demonstrating, because in general, if a regime is capable of this level of brutality, there is rarely a secret about it.

I do not know what it is specifically that the Syrians are speaking out about. In Egypt, I did. But I know that the worldwide pressure on basic commodity prices squeezes the life out of these people, and in desperate times, all manner of possibly unrelated gripes come out when empty stomachs grumble.
