President Obama, it turns out, is by far the most golf-mad of all the Presidents in history. Yesterday, the President was playing the 66th round of his presidency, and his fifth round in five weeks, as US special forces prepared to move in on bin Laden.
There’s nothing wrong in all that golf. The odd thing about being President is the amount of time you have on your hands, punctuated by sudden moments of extreme tension, requiring great decisiveness – like the correct and admirable decision to attack bin Laden’s bunker.
What is unfair – not that this is Obama’s fault – is the criticism meted out to President George W Bush for his golfing. He only played 24 times in all eight years of his presidency, but was cast as the country club plutocrat for his love of the game. Michael Moore mocked him in his documentary, Fahrenheit 9/11, for condemning “terrorist killers” on the golf course in 2002, before adding, “Thank you. Now watch this drive.”
None of this is either to attack Obama or praise Bush – just to say that it’s OK for presidents, both Republican and Democrat, to swing a club from time to time.

I’m sorry that you can’t accept the fact, that the current President got the most wanted man in the world. But it happened. I know and you know that our special forces, everyone who served, AND President Bush deserve the credit...but, it ain’t gonna happen.

Not only that, but people who are under a great deal of pressure need to ‘get away’ and/or perform unrelated activities in order to think clearly - to see the forest and not just the trees (sort of).

Does anybody out there know of ANY serious CEO in their experience who plays 66 rounds of golf in 27 months? Who has that kind of time on their hands? Retired people, only.

Jake Tapper has a story out detailing how Hussein changed the mission from a bombing raid to a small force ground assault...because he wanted "proof". I have to say, I kind of chuckled when I read the story, because frankly Hussein is NOT that smart. I believe he was TOLD by the brass, and did follow their instruction...but HE is a clueless boob, and would not know a pistol from a rifle. Essentially, the ADULTS were allowed to do their job, and Hussein kept his Marxist opinions to himself.
Bullcrap. This changes NOTHING. Hussein is still a Marxist jackass ruining this nation’s economy. Just because he got out of the way and let the military do their job doesn’t mean he is a hero. All it means is his handlers convinced him to shut his yapper and let the Navy Seals do their job.

Verry true. Hunkering down and working hard with concerted effort on something would be so out of character for him that it would be an obvious red flag.
quit it you morons! Even Sarah Palin and George Bush are praising Obama’s Actions. You whine and complain and when He finally does act like a President (Like now and Somali Pirates) You find some conspiratorial reason to slam him. I’m not going to vote for him because of his economic and social policies, But for heaven’s sake he is our President and has apparently done a bang-up job with Bin Laden. flame away fellow freepers.

Everybody knows he is ALWAYS playing golf on Sunday. It’s like his church.
If he had skipped Golf, especially on such a nice day, it might have tipped off Bin Laden’s network that something was up.
