Bush Home Buzzing After Bin Laden Killing

DALLAS (AP) – Flag-waving supporters left flowers and patriotic red, white and blue balloons outside the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush Monday in the hours that followed the U.S.-led mission that killed Osama bin Laden.

“Thank you President Bush,” said a sign left on the gate outside the street leading to the secluded Bush residence.

About a dozen people gathered near his security-tight residence until a thunderstorm rolled into the area early Monday.

“George Bush did so many great things for our country. We really wanted to be with him to celebrate this momentous day in American history,” Billy Fox, a college student, told WFAA-TV.

“We love America,” said Fox, who held a U.S. flag. “This hangs in my dorm room every day, it’s my roommate’s, and I said we had to bring it out to celebrate America.”

Bush, who was home when he learned of bin Laden’s death late Sunday, released a statement congratulating President Barack Obama and praising the U.S. military personnel involved in the operation in northern Pakistan. Bush was in power on 9/11 when terrorists commandeered four commercial jets, crashing them in New York City, Washington D.C. and in Pennsylvania, killing nearly 3,000 people.

Particularly liked George Bush’s statement after the news was announced. No sour grapes. A class act all the way around.

I like that idea. Have a hugh celbration in honor of all the *rap GW took in tracking down the PIG OBL.

At least the CIA wasn’t intimidated by the outragous actions of Zero, Pelosi and the rest of the terrorist loving dummies. I bet it PO’d zero when they came to him and said we have OBL’s location all we want is YOU to give the order to go get him. ZERO had NO choice.

There is an awful lot of celebrating and flag waving going on per Fox News. I wonder if some of these happy people misunderstood and thought Obama was the one killed.

I’m never going to defend Obama, but he made the decision to this op in the way it was. This could have gone Desert One and become a FUBAR of historic proportions. If that had happenened the GOP could have run Donald Duck and beat him.I give him creds for taking that chance because it was in the best interest of this nation. I’ll still vote for Donald Duck in 2012 if I have to, but today Obama deserves the props.

Congratulations to all involved in this operation. Hopefully we can all come together Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians and Independents and be proud to be Americans today as we should be everyday.

This is not a game changer for Obama in the long run.

I think this is at best a “no-change” event for Obama. Supporters will think Obama didn’t need to kill him because he was not a true threat, and conservatives still won’t trust Obama as the CIC.

When the dust clears, the liberals will still think its unfair that we have too much military power and that we invaded Pakistan without cause. The conservatives will still think Obama is a impotent military leader who just happened to be “present” when our military did the job.

Yes, President Obama did what had to be done, and did it well. He gets credit AND thanks, along with our military.

Remember this is the guy that called the “war on terror” a silly war.
AND the info on the courier came from Gitmo, which Zero and Holder tried desperatly to CLOSE.

Thank God the CIA got the info 5 years ago.
All my props go to the CIA and Navy Seal Team 6.
