CAIRO – Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, a conservative organization with links around the Islamic world, has condemned the killing of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden by U.S. forces as an "assassination."
The Brotherhood, which seeks the establishment of a state run according to Islamic principles through peaceful means, is Egypt's most powerful and organized political movement.
The statement Monday said the group "is against violence in general, against assassinations and in favor of fair trials."

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – The leader of the militant Hamas government in the Gaza Strip condemned the United States on Monday for killing al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden.
Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said the operation marked “the continuation of the American oppression and shedding of blood of Muslims and Arabs.”
“Despite the difference in opinions and agenda between us and them, we condemn the assassination of a Muslim and Arab warrior and we pray to God that his soul rests in peace,” Haniyeh told reporters in Gaza.
“Reactionary” is accurate, not “conservative.”

CAIRO – A top al-Qaida ideologue vowed revenge Monday for the killing of Osama Bin Laden by U.S. forces, in the first jihadist admission of the militant leader’s death.
The prominent commentator, going by the online name “Assad al-Jihad2,” posted on extremist websites a long eulogy for bin Laden and said the Islamic holy war against the West was far from over.
“Woe to his enemies. By God, we will avenge the killing of the Sheik of Islam,” he wrote. “Those who wish that jihad has ended or weakened, I tell them: Let us wait a little bit.”
They have threatened us with murder and death for years now. I laugh at these ignorant turds.
Obama, I mean Osama, could have surrendered, gotten his Miranda rights read to him in translation, and headed for Club Gitmo. He declined.

Uhbama does not attend church regularly. He has no desire to set an example or practice his so called Christian religion. I think it is painful for him to say he is a Christian, and his actions demonstrate that it is. No wonder he proclaimed that America is NOT a Christian nation. That is his greatest hope. Didn't he say when the the winds blow south, he will stand with the muslims?
