Personally, back in Typing Class in 1962, I was one of three "ham-fisted" males in a class of 50 girls, and was constantly flirting with "key jams" when I got too far beyond my natural ceiling of about 60 CWAM (Correct Words A Minute). Of course, the three of us were flirting in other areas too, as I recall.
I finished high school in 1962 and I also took typing classes along with a lot of girls. We considered it something of a “crip” course at the time but in looking back I am very glad I took typing. It is something I have used a lot over the years, it is nice not to have to hunt and peck when I want to use a keyboard.
