It didn’t take an hour to write it. They were waiting for Celebrity Apprentice to be on to screw the Donald some more.
So, we’re watching the cat fight on The Donald and NBC scrolls that The Present is going to make a statement. That’s it, no details. Late on a Sunday night that scared the bejesus out of the Mrs. and I. That frickin’ narcacistic POS. Then NBC breaks in with “Special Report”. I have not seen that since I was a kid and it was ALWAYS bad news. God forgive me I hate that man with a burning passion.

Exactly - they were in such a big hurry to take over the airwaves and cut off the boardroom climax of CA, then killed time with pundits’ (David Gregory on nbc, ugh) prattling and speculating on what The One was going to say, etc. - for a good half hour to 45 minutes before he finally deigned to appear.
And don’t think The Donald was unaware of it. For a long time, BHO always picked the 5 pm (eastern) time slot (in addition to others) for pressers and speeches (Beck’s show). Now he’s got a new target. Wonder what he can come up with next Sunday night, when Celeb Apprentice will be a 3-hour episode.
