I bet the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) was slightly impressed by the audio feed from Pakistan to the White Hut! While they watched the whole thing go down on live video feeds.
Hey, by the way, where has Jack been lately?

"There was body of intelligence brought to Obama, one of the Pentagon officials said, but in the weeks and months beforehand, his personal attention pushed the case to a new level. [Edit: In the "weeks and months" prior to this last weekend, Barry shows a "heightened" interest in what was already developing since last August].
On Friday, before traveling to Alabama to survey storm damage, the president gave the go-ahead for the team to go in. The original plan was for it to go in Saturday, but due to weather, they changed it to Sunday.
Had the operation gone on Saturday as planned, it would have coincided closely with a North Atlantic Treaty Organization strike on a house in Tripoli where Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi, another longtime U.S. foe, was believed to have been visiting. That strike killed Kadafis son.
Saturday evening, the president offered light remarks at the White House correspondents dinner at a hotel in Washington, joking about his birth certificate and Donald Trump, but he had spent much of the day being briefed on the operation. And his national security staff was working furiously back at the White House." [Edit: The "B.C. Roast" was scheduled for the same day the orders were given to bomb Lybia AND OBL].

If Bush were still president, the media would be asking if we had a warrant for Bin Laden’s arrest, if it violated international law, if the death could have been avoided, if by killing him did we lose valuable intelligence, etc. And we’d be told that the death was mostly symbolic, that Bin Laden was a man of yesterday, no longer a threat, it was a waste of time and money, etc.
To: Smogger
As Obama takes credit, Holder will try to find out who the SEALS are to bring them up on charges! Fox is already saying a new report says “Bin Laden was unarmed”. Boo freakin’ who.
To: ricoshea
Obama should take credit. I think he has, for the first time something isn't conveyed as "Bush's fault!"

Heh heh. True.
You know it’s funny...when I was a kid I knew a guy named Richard Oshea ... his family called him Richard. We all called him Rick, of course.

...this weekend was such a tense time in the White House that Obama only got in nine holes of golf. But he still managed to deliver his joke script to the White House Correspondents Assn. dinner Saturday evening. That this is not from the Onion is truly frightening.

When the invasion of Grenada started, Ronald Reagan made sure that the troops had all that they requested. Then he went to bed.
The MSM went crazy of course thinking that he should have been pacing the floor in an agony of indecision.
That's not how "The Big Boss Man" rolled

IMPORTANT SPECIFIC: When 48 hour go order issued, CoC was told, not requested. Administration scrambled to abort. That order was overruled. This order did not originate from CoC. Repeat this order did not originate from CoC. He complied, but did not originate. --------------------- http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2713869/posts

The best thing that obama did was to stay out of the way of a military action that was going to happen anyway that had its start with President Bush

"And, therefore," Brennan continued, "when President Obama was faced with the opportunity to act upon this, the president had to evaluate the strength of that information and then made what I believe was one of the most gutsiest calls of any president in recent memory."OMG-Did Brennan really say this?
