While the daily words of Rush Limbaugh can anger as many as those to whom they hold appeal, there is always that footnote suggesting that – at the end of the day- it’s all just entertainment.
But is that really true?
I have to admit that while I have little to recommend when it comes to the venom that spills from Rush’s facile mouth, I have always been appreciative of his broadcasting talent.
Even when Limbaugh pushed it well beyond the limits of anything resembling good taste when he mocked Senator Edward Kennedy upon the man’s death, I tried to remind myself that there is a large segment of the American population who agreed with Limbaugh. If they lacked the human decency to show a little respect at the man’s passing, I suppose it was Limbaugh’s role to speak up for them – even if he furthered his reputation for not possessing an ounce of class in the process.
Today, on this rarest of occasions when all Americans can feel good about a great success accomplished by our government, Limbaugh took the opportunity to mock the president during his radio show.
It seems that Limbaugh believed that the president took too much credit for the successful mission that led to the killing of the world’s public enemy number one and used his sarcasm as the only way he could manage to put a negative spin on such an overwhelming positive event – even to Rush’s cadre of listeners.

And even though you quit, it is still the Catholic Church, it was before you were born and lost your Faith {probably the rules were too tough for your genteel ways} and will be long after you are gone.

Putting the words “good taste” and Edward Kennedy in the same sentence is a farce. I think Rush showed what most of us felt upon Teddy’s passing. Relief.

I don’t believe one word that comes out of our White House. It’s been said that they have known Osama’s exact location for at least four months. If that is true then I would have to question WHY they chose this week to get him.
My hypothesis: It’s been clear that Obama hates Great Britain. He hates them even more now because he was excluded from the guest list to the royal wedding.
What better way to get revenge than to kill Osama and cause a work-wide security alert that disrupts the royal wedding and honeymoon plans. The Queen must be really irritated at the timing - maybe more irritated than when Michelle put her arm around the Queen and then pushed Prince Philip out of the way to have her picture taken next to the Queen.
Thanks for clueing me in. BO should have thanked the Bush Administration for their help over 8 years. But that would have been to big a move for him to make.

Some rich people deserve recognition by the Church.Many great saints have come from aristocratic families. Eunice Shriver, Kennedy’s sister, did a lot of great things, including the Special Olympics. It is telling that HER funeral mass was Much more modest. The Kennedy mass was a political show, like the coronation mass of Napoleon, which the pope attended as a virtual prisoner to lend legitimacy to Napoleon’s dictatorship. Like Charlemagne’s except Napoleon crowned himself. Kennedy spent a life of open debauchery and politically did everything he could to discredit the Pro-life movement.
My guess is that Obama felt he could no longer delay taking out Obama since he already begun his re-election campaign.
I don’t trust or believe them either. I question everything BUT the existence of God.
