.........good move on Palin’s part separating from neocons. Enough of cockeyed nation building and attempting to scab democracy atop dysfunctional ME backwaters......Thanks to neocons the US was duped into even bigger messes in the ME that taxpayers will be paying for for years to come..........

N-i-c-e deconstruction. Could not agree more. The US adventure in the Mideast is o-v-e-r.

As ME dictators and butchers fall by the wayside, we witness another colossal failure of the pukeneos, who duped the US into sinking trillions of dollars into these antediluvian cultures with assurances that US trillions to dictators would hold back the aspirations of millions of starving Arabs.

We must also consider that the pukes colluded with enviros to keep the US in the Mideast---but telling tall tales about our being "dependent on foreign oil."

The US has vast energy resources but getting at them is an "environmental issue" they say. Baloney. Enviro issues are strictly agit-prop.

The stunning reality is that US energy reserves are huge--- offshore oil, natural gas, coal. Oil companies have had tremendous success unlocking big quantities of natural gas from dense shale rock formations in North America. We're talking about TRILLIONS of barrels of oil equivalent in shale natural gas.

We need to alert the PTB that we are onto the gross manipulation by those who are colluding, who want the US to sink trillions in the Mideast......including war profiteers getting rich beyond Croesus with our tax dollars---and by Mideast countries too stupid to govern themselves without US "foreign aid."

"America is dependent on foreign oil" is a knee-jerk reaction, a bunch of propaganda.......The Big Lie which forced America into invading three ME countries at a cost of trillions of US tax dollars.

===============================

REFERENCE The US gets 25% of its oil needs from nearby Canada----which will increase in the near future. The red-hot center of the 21st century's gold rush is the western Canadian province of Alberta. Spread under 54,363 square miles of boreal forest -- a little less than the land area of Florida -- lie proven reserves of 174 billion barrels, second only to Saudi Arabia's.

What with engineering know-how, huge advances in technology, and the $$$$trillions to be made----a small $100 billion investment will get the Canadian reserves out of the ground in no time....

All in our own backyard, just down a country road, and over the bridge, from bucolic, peaceful New England.

Palin adviser worked for foreign governments

WASHINGTON - Sarah Palin, seen as a possible Republican presidential candidate, has paid tens of thousands of dollars for foreign policy advice to a U.S. firm that represents three overseas governments, campaign finance documents show. While legal, the adviser’s work as an agent for other countries raises questions about whether Palin is receiving impartial information about foreign relations and could be become a subject of debate if she runs for president or another elected office.

Financial reports filed by the former Alaska governor’s fundraising committee known as SarahPAC, show that between December 2009 and the end of May 2010, it made seven payments to Orion Strategies. The firm is a Washington consulting firm founded and led by Randy Scheunemann, a lobbyist who served as a senior foreign policy adviser to John McCain in his 2008 U.S. presidential bid and to Palin when she became McCain’s Republican running mate.

Controversy over campaign advisers who work as lobbyists for foreign or domestic interests can often blight national political campaigns. At least five of McCain’s aides quit his presidential campaign because of their lobbying activities.

The administration of President Barack Obama has put rules in place to try to restrict the hiring of lobbyists for senior government jobs.

Palin’s committee made a $30,000 payment to Orion on Dec. 2, 2009, and six other $10,000 payments to the firm between January and the end of May of this year. The reports say that at least three of the payments were for consulting work on international issues.

Documents filed by Orion Strategies with the Foreign Agents Registration Unit of the U.S. Department of Justice report that from December 2009 to May 2010 — the same period when it was being paid consulting fees by SarahPAC — the firm was formally registered under federal law as an agent for three foreign governments.

Orion directly represents Georgia and Taiwan, and has been retained by Montenegro through a second Washington lobbying firm.

Scheunemann, whose ties to Georgia stoked controversy when he advised McCain’s campaign, is not known to be working as a paid adviser for any other likely presidential contenders. Neither Palin, SarahPAC, Scheunemann nor Orion responded to telephone and e-mail requests for comment.

U.S. law requires U.S. agents representing foreign governments to disclose their activities. But they are not legally restricted from acting as advisers to U.S. political campaigns. Palin has kept herself in the limelight by backing conservative candidates for midterm elections this year and making high-profile appearances. But she has declined to say whether she will seek the Republican nomination to challenge Obama in the 2012 presidential election.

=====================================

ONE IS KNOWN BY THE COMPANY ONE KEEPS

(News release circa 2/11) Sarah Palin has added veteran Republican strategist Michael Glassner to serve as COS for her political action committee, Sarah PAC. Glassner, an attorney and longtime adviser to former Kansas senator and presidential candidate Bob Dole, has signed on to steer the former Alaska governor's political operation as she considers a possible 2012 presidential bid. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Glassner managed her vice presidential operations.

ITEM What does this tell you about Glassner: he worked for Dole AND McCain.

ITEM Michael Glassner served as counselor to NY/NJ Port Authority Chairman Lewis M. Eisenberg.

ITEM Eisenberg was one of the first to introduce pro-abortion policies into the Repub Party---was he a stalking horse for the dreaded neocons?

ITEM For many years, Mr. Eisenberg was a partner of Goldman Sachs & Co (at the same time Rahm Emanuel worked for G/S?)

ITEM Eisenberg served on New York Gov George Pataki's transition team and was a key adviser to New Jersey Gov Christine Whitman (both of them not known as staunch conservatives).

=========================================

REFERENCE After years w/ Goldman Sachs, in 1990, Eisenberg founded Granite Capital International Group, an investment management company headquartered in NYC. Mr. Eisenberg also served from 1995-2001 as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the NY/NJ Port Authority. The Port Authority is the owner of the World Trade Center, and Mr. Eisenberg led the agency through the first three months of recovery and clean-up after the 911 terrorist attacks. He was recently named a member of New York's Lower Manhattan Redevelopment Authority, which will spearhead the rebuilding of Ground Zero.

Eisenberg's community and charitable activities include leadership in health and healthcare related institutions. He is on the Planning Board of UJA/United Jewish Federation.

Mr. Eisenberg was once elected Finance Chairman of the RNC. He raised millions of dollars for the Republican Party and Republican candidates.

Eisenberg’s support for Republicans appears to be limited..... He also wrote checks to liberal Democrats like Walter Mondale, Dick Gephardt, Tim Wirth, Chris Dodd, Bruce Babbitt, Joe Biden, and others.

I Agree.

The US in terms of proven crude equivalent in oil, natgas, coal and oil shale sits atop the world hierarchy. The numbers I recently saw gave crude equivalent reserves at over 3 trillion barrels. For comparison the numbers given for Saudi Arabia were just over 500 billion barrels (which is iffy because it's tough to get good data out of SA). Russia was actually in second place. A lot of people claim the oil shale which is a huge part of the above number shouldn't be included as it's too costly to produce. However, Shell claims with their ICP technology they can produce a barrel from shale for around $30 (these numbers are now several years old).

Point being, we're energy dependent only because we have a domestic non-energy policy in place which is absolutely crippling.
