The Republican leader of the Florida House, Rep. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, is demanding that Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson apologize for remarks Monday about the GOP-backed election overhaul bill awaiting floor votes.
Here's what Nelson said: "Should we deny those very military personnel that carried out this very successful decapitating of the Al Qaida snake? Should we deny them because they have signed their voter registration card in a different way than they signed their absentee ballot overseas?"
Lopez-Cantera said Nelson's comments were "an outrageous political stunt, motivated solely by his re-election campaign at the expense of our armed forces. His disgraceful suggestion that the Florida Legislature would attempt to diminish the voting rights of American heroes is offensive and untruthful."
If Bill Nelson ... he did so much good for Florida and NASA .. He deserves what he did for Florida and NASA.. NOTHING...
My sister called his office once and told his aide that Nelson’s botox had apparently gone to his brain (I forget the issue - she calls him frequently). The aide laughed.

First off, I was in Florida in 2000. Nelson’s party stopped (not just tried to stop) absentee military votes from being counted. Enough votes that would have killed Gore’s BS recount scam. Still makes me see red to even talk about it. Scum.
Second, my late father was a 3 war Marine, one of the last WW2 vets, served in the Pacific, Korea and Nam. When he was still alive, I was in Florida. That worthless piece of dung named Bill Nelson, came out publicly against providing the medical coverage PROMISED to WW2 vets. Claimed the feds couldn’t afford $16 billion to do it. All the while the Democrats and their sainted leader Slick Willie were shoveling out billions by the truckload for every stinking vote buying program they could dream up.
They knew that by delaying, the vets would be pretty much died off in a couple of years. Problem solved.
I wrote that traitorous slime ball a pretty nasty letter. Looking back, I’m almost surprised his office didn’t turn it over to the Clintons and get the IRS on my back.
I can’t print in this forum the vulgarities needed to express my feelings for Bill Nelson.
From that it sounds like the Dems were signing up phony voters or voting for vets instead of them voting for themselves. What's the skinny on that?
