I would hope its crew chief is looking for another occupation. A heavily laden helicopter can lose lift when it gets into ground effect and the subsequent turbulence from the main rotor. It could have been because they landed in that courtyard. The walls could have raised the ground effect turbulence enough to cause the crash.

Apparently the team spent months practicing for the raid using a 1:1 scale reproduction of the compound. I'd think that if the scenario you describe above is correct, it would've shown up during the training.

We were told that they practiced for 6 months on a real-life mockup of the compound.
How could they not know the effect the walls would have?
